Actress Josie Harris, Mother of Floyd Mayweather’s Children, Dead at 40 Years Old

Josie Harris, who shares three children with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, was found dead Monday night at her Valencia, Calif., home. She was 40 years old.

TMZ reports that Harris was found unresponsive in her car after authorities were called to her home at approximately 9:30 p.m. While the circumstances sound suspicious, authorities do not believe foul play to be involved. As such, the case is being investigated as a death instead of a homicide.

Harris was the mother of three of Mayweather’s four children—Koraun Mayweather, 20; Zion Mayweather, 18; and their daughter Jirah Mayweather, 15.

The relationship between Harris and Mayweather was notoriously tumultuous throughout the years, with the aspiring actress accusing the undefeated boxer of domestic abuse on six separate occasions, including the infamous September2010 incident in which he allegedly pulled her hair and physically assaulted her in front of their children.

Their oldest son, Koraun, testified against his father at the time and provided a written account of the brutal attack to police. Mayweather would then serve two months behind bars for the incident.

“I just thanked [Koraun] because I didn’t know how long it was going to go on,” she told USA Today in a 2017 interview. “And I just feel like if he wouldn’t have gone to get the help that I may not even be able to be sitting here today.”

At her time of death, her $20 million defamation lawsuit against Mayweather remained unresolved. It was related to his claims in an interview with Katie Couric that Harris was on drugs during the 2010 incident.

Tekashi69 was kidnapped, pistol whipped and robbed and is now in the hospital … TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Tekashi tell us, the rapper was working on a music video in Brooklyn early Sunday morning and at around 4AM he wrapped for the night and drove home.  We’re told when he got there another car pulled up and blocked his driveway.

Our sources say that’s when 3 hooded gunmen got out of the other car, grabbed Tekashi and pistol whipped him … knocking him unconscious.

We’re told the next thing Tekashi knew, he was in the back seat of the car as the gunmen were driving around, telling him if they didn’t get what they wanted from him — jewelry and money — they would kill him.

Our sources say a short time later, the gunmen pulled up to Tekashi’s home and 2 of them made their way inside as the third guarded 69 inside the vehicle.

We’re told the gunmen took around $750k in jewelry and between $15k and $20k in cash.  While all this was happening, Tekashi’s baby mama and daughter were inside the house but not hurt.

That wasn’t the end of it.  We’re told the gunmen then drove away with Tekashi still in the back seat.  At some point 69 was able to open the back door and jumped out.  One of the gunmen began chasing him but got scared and retreated because he was afraid he’d be ID’d.

Our sources say Tekashi jumped in the passenger seat of a stranger’s vehicle and pleaded for help.  The stranger called 911 and then asked 69 to get out of the car at an intersection.

An ambulance came and Tekashi was taken to a hospital, where he remains.  Doctors are performing various tests, including a CT scan.

7:04 AM PT — Cops tell us … they believe Floyd was in one of the SUVs in the entourage that was targeted by the shooter.

Floyd was NOT injured in the attack and it’s unclear if he was the specific target. We’re also told cops do NOT have a suspect in custody at this point.

A man claiming to be one of Floyd Mayweather‘s bodyguards was shot outside of an upscale hotel in Atlanta Monday morning … the Atlanta Police Dept. tells TMZ Sports.

Unclear if Floyd was with the man at the time of the shooting.

Cops tell us … it all went down at 3 AM on Monday morning outside of the InterContinental hotel in Buckhead.

We’re told three vehicles were returning from the hotel from a nearby nightclub.

Cops says, “Another vehicle pulled up beside them at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Highland Drive and fired several times at one of the vehicles. All three vehicles fled and reported being followed for a distance.”

“After losing the vehicle that was following them, the victim’s vehicle drove to Grady Hospital where the victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and is in stable condition.”

“At this time, it appears that this was not a random shooting and the shooter was targeting the victim’s vehicle.”

“The victim advised that he is a bodyguard for Floyd Mayweather.”
