JUST IN: Syrian-Born Boulder Shooter Ahmad Al-Issa’s Identity was Previously Known to The FBI

Ahmad Al-Issa

Another day, another failure by the FBI, our “premiere” law enforcement agency.

The Boulder, Colorado killer was publicly identified on Tuesday after his supermarket killing spree.

21-Year-Old, Syrian born Ahmad Al-Issa killed 10 ten people including 51-year-old police officer Eric Talley on Monday during a shooting spree at a King Sooper’s grocery store.

The authorities identified the victims as Eric Talley, 51 (police officer), Denny Stong, 20; Neven Stanisic, 23; Rikki Olds, 25; Tralona Bartkowiak, 49; Suzanne Fountain, 59; Teri Leiker, 51; Kevin Mahoney, 61; Lynn Murray, 62; and Jody Waters, 65.

Al-Issa was charged with 10 Counts of First Degree Murder.

According to the New York Times, Ahmad Al-Issa’s identity was previously known to the FBI because he was linked to someone who was under investigation by the bureau.

The New York Times reported (emphasis our own):

The gunman was armed with both a military-style semiautomatic rifle and a pistol when he walked into the King Soopers store on Monday and opened fire, officials said. They identified the suspect who was arrested at the scene as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, who lived in Arvada, a nearby suburb; he was charged on Tuesday with 10 counts of first-degree murder, which in Colorado carries a penalty of life imprisonment without parole.

A police affidavit made public on Tuesday said that last week he bought a Ruger AR-556 semiautomatic pistol — essentially a shortened version of an AR-15 style rifle, which fires the same small-caliber, high-velocity ammunition, first developed for battlefield use. Statements from the police and the charging documents did not make fully clear what models of weapons he used in the attack, and whether the Ruger was one of them.

The suspect’s identity was previously known to the F.B.I. because he was linked to another individual under investigation by the bureau, according to law enforcement officials.

When he was a senior at Arvada West High School, Mr. Alissa was convicted in 2018 of misdemeanor assault against another student in a classroom, and told the police at the time that it was in retaliation for insults and ethnic taunts. Fellow students recall him as having a fierce temper that would flare in response to setbacks or slights.

Malcolm X kin: Letter from former cop implicates NYPD, feds in his murder

Malcolm X’s family has released a letter it says was written by a deceased New York cop claiming the NYPD and FBI were behind the 1965 Harlem assassination of the civil-rights activist.

Malcolm X was gunned down at the Audubon Ballroom in Manhattan a year after breaking ranks with the Nation of Islam.

Three members of the black separatism group were convicted in the shooting.

On Saturday, some of Malcolm X’s daughters released a letter attributed to a former undercover NYPD officer, Raymond Wood, at the site of the former hotel on 165th Street. The family members were joined by Reggie Wood, a cousin of the late officer.

In the letter, Raymond Wood allegedly wrote that NYPD supervisors pressured him into luring two members of Malcolm X’s security details into committing crimes that led to their arrests in the days before the activist was slain.

The letter said the arrests provided the chance for lax door security at the hotel ballroom and were part of a conspiracy between federal investigators and New York police to have Malcolm killed.

“Under the direction of my handlers, I was told to encourage leaders and members of the civil-rights groups to commit felonious acts,” the letter stated.

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance said last year that his office would reopen the case to investigate the long-held contentions by some historians and scholars that the wrong suspects were arrested for the slaying.

In the wake of the letter, Vance’s office released a statement saying its “review of this matter is active and ongoing.”

The NYPD said it is cooperating with the prosecutor’s effort.

“The NYPD has provided all available records relevant to that case to the District Attorney. The Department remains committed to assist with that review in any way,” Sgt. Edward Riley wrote in a statement to the Post on Sunday

The FBI declined comment.

Ilyasah Shabazz, Malcolm X’s daughter, said she had always lived with uncertainty around the circumstances of her father’s death.

Four Toledo City Council members, all Democrats, arrested by FBI on bribery charges

The FBI has been investigating for two years

Four members of the Toledo City Council, all Democrats, were arrested and charged in a bribery scheme by federal law enforcement authorities on Tuesday.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Tyrone Riley, Yvonne Harper, Larry Sykes, and Garrick Johnson, were involved in a scheme that extorted money from business owners in the Ohio city in exchange for favorable council votes. The FBI began its investigation into the council members in early 2018.

Each of the accused members could face up to 10 years in prison for the bribery charges, and up to 20 years on the extortion charges.

Also charged in the scheme was an attorney who is accused of helping orchestrate the crimes.

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz issued a statement calling it a terrible day for the city.

“I am shocked and heartbroken by today’s arrests. This is a terrible day for Toledo — and for everyone who believes in the good that can be accomplished through public service,” Kapszukiewicz said.

“I have no tolerance for public officials who abuse the trust of the citizens,” he added. “I encourage all Toledoans to say a prayer for our city and for the hope that justice will be done in this case.”

Kapszukiewicz went on to remind Toledo citizens that the accused are innocent until proven guilty.

Mark Wagoner, the chair of the Lucas County Republican Party, called for the resignation of all four Democrats.

“Democrat domination of Toledo city politics has consequences, and today we see them. Lucas County Republicans have long pointed to the culture of corruption within the City of Toledo and have put forward quality candidates to end Democrat domination,” he said.

Councilwoman Harper is reportedly the executive director of the Lucas County Democratic Party.

Lock them up! Eleven House Republicans demand Jeff Sessions prosecute Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe AND the FBI lovers!

A group of 11 Republican lawmakers is asking the FBI and the Justice Department to investigate Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, as well as FBI agents and other top figures who feature in the Clinton email investigation.

‘Because we believe that those in positions of high authority should be treated the same as every other American, we want to be sure that the potential violations of law outlined below are vetted appropriately,’ according to the letter by Florida GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis and 10 other Republicans.

They complained about ‘dissimilar degrees of zealousness’ between how Clnton and President Trump were investigated, a reference to the Mueller probe.

GOP lawmakers wrote attorney general Jeff Sessions urging criminal investigations of Hillary Clinton and others

On Comey, who is in the midst of a book tour criticizing President Trump, the GOP lawmakers say he his actions suggest ‘improper investigative conduct, potentially motivated by a political agenda.’

On Clinton, they mention how her campaign lawyer made payments to the firm that hired Christopher Steele to produce the dossier of damaging information on Trump. Trump brought up the issue in his press conference Wednesday.

For former obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch, they cite the Uranium One deal.

The criminal referral doesn’t have the force of law. Ordinary citizens also can urge investigations.

They also accuse fired FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe with potential criminal violations, and also raise concerns with FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, accusing them of ‘interference’ in the Clinton email probe.

Several of the signers of the letter also pushed a second special counsel to investigate Clinton, the Hill reported.

The letter comes as former FBI director James Comey does interviews on a book tour, where he has repeatedly accused President Trump of acting like a mob boss, and urging him to life the ‘cloud’ of the Russia investigation.

Trump said at a press conference Wednesday: ‘There’s been nobody tougher on Russia than President Donald Trump.’
