MTO News obtained exclusive footage – and The Waffle House and the Mobile Alabama police department have a LOT of explaining to do. Last night a Black woman was allegedly RACIALLY PROFILED inside of Waffle House . . . and she ended up being BRUTALIZED, HUMILIATED, and possibly SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by the Mobile police.

MTO News confirmed that the incident took place inside of a Waffle House in the Alabama area.

The victim, Chekesia Clemons, and her friend were attempting to dine at the Waffle House – when they felt RACIALLY HARASSED by the staff there. The women began arguing with one of the waitresses – and the waitress CALLED THE POLICE on Chekesia.

In just a few minutes a group of officers showed up, and instead of trying to figure out WHAT happened – they immediately ATTACKED Chekesia, who was arguing with their waitress “Goldie.”

The officer immediately then began PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING Chekesia. And as he was trying to “arrest” her – he is seem PHYSICALLY ripping off her clothes, and then strangling her.

At no point did Chekesia appear to be a physical THREAT to the officers.

Here is what happened:

At approximately 2:15am myself and my friend Chikesia Clemonsenter the Waffle house and proceeded to dine in for food .. I then told this white Caucasian woman my order and ask could I have plastic utensils.. She then told me that it would be .50 cent . Lol I told her that I had just eaten there the night before and they didn’t charge me .50 cent and so on ..Shortly after and me my friend continued with our conversation and our rude ass waitress “Goldie” decided to put her two cents in on our conversation that had nothing to do ever th her .. I then read her rights and then canceled my order and walked out .. However my friend stayed behind to get a understanding while I waited outside only to have the cops called on her and to be treated this way .. After tonight I’m done with mobile police period ..I understand the priorities of them doing their job but tonight wasn’t it ..They made and me and friend feel unsafe and not welcome to the city of Saraland

Syracuse University permanently expels Theta Tau over ‘Extremely Racist’ video!!

Web_ThetaTau_AlexandraMoreo_SSP-1

The Syracuse University chapter of Theta Tau was suspended Wednesday morning after the university confirmed it was involved in the creation of online videos showing fraternity members engaging in behaviors that were “extremely racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist, and hostile to people with disabilities,” Chancellor Kent Syverud said in a campus-wide email.

In recordings obtained by The Daily Orange showing the videos, which were filmed in Theta Tau’s house, a person forces another person to his knees and asks him to repeat an “oath” including racial slurs.

“I solemnly swear to always have hatred in my heart for n*ggers, sp*cs and most importantly the f*ckin’ k*kes,” the person on his knees repeats.

The videos were posted in a secret Facebook group called “Tau of Theta Tau” by a user named David Yankowy III, the recordings show. Yankowy was listed as a member of Theta Tau on the SU fraternity chapter’s website before the site was made inaccessible Wednesday afternoon. Yankowy, who is listed in SU’s directory as a senior in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.

Several videos filmed in the house were uploaded in the secret Facebook group. In one recording, a person, using anti-Semitic language, yells at two other people.

“You f*ckin’ k*kes, get in the f*ckin’ showers,” he says, and the two people run out of the room as others laugh.

In another recording, a person sits down in a rolling chair and a different person yells, “He’s drooling out of his mouth because he’s retarded in a wheelchair.”

At one point, one person tells others to “… Get together and (talk) about their significant others while drinking different wines and talking in gay girly accents.”

The following recording is one of several obtained by The Daily Orange. The D.O. could not publish every video as it could not confirm that each video was posted on the “Tau of Theta Tau” page.

“I am appalled and shaken by this and deeply concerned for all members of our community,” Syverud said in the email.

The chancellor said that, upon confirming Theta Tau’s involvement in the videos, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities immediately suspended the fraternity.

SU’s Department of Public Safety has launched an investigation into the incident to identify individuals and to take additional legal and disciplinary action, Syverud said.

Theta Tau is a professional engineering fraternity at 1105 Harrison St. The fraternity’s national office did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday. Alexander Fox, who was listed on the SU chapter’s website as the fraternity’s regent, also did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday. Fox was listed as an administrator or moderator in the secret Facebook group.

I am appalled and shaken by this and deeply concerned for all members of our community.

Kent Syverud, Syracuse University Chancellor

A protest erupted on campus Wednesday evening as students demanded that the university release the videos. Protesters gathered outside Syverud’s house, which is across the street from Theta Tau. Some students on Twitter started posting the hashtag “#WheresTheVideoSU.”

“We are not (Theta Tau),” said Liam McMonagle, a protest organizer and sophomore broadcast and digital journalism major. “They are not us. And they do not represent this community.”

Tayla Myree, a sophomore studying political science and history, spoke and chanted in a megaphone as she held up a sign that read, “Apathy is complicity.” She said most of the students protesting were people of color, despite SU having a predominantly white population.

Zach Hammond, a senior mechanical engineering major who was listed as a member of Theta Tau on the fraternity’s website, said “there were certainly some things I disapproved of, but I certainly didn’t realize that bad of things were being said. It’s just disgusting.”

Hammond’s name was mentioned in the video published by The D.O. on Wednesday night. Hammond said he was not at the event shown in the recordings and was rarely active in the chapter.

Several other students who were listed as members of Theta Tau on the fraternity’s website did not respond to requests for comment.

Syverud, during a forum at Hendricks Chapel on Wednesday afternoon organized after his campus-wide email, said he watched “parts of the videos from Theta Tau.”

“The thing I have been asked most frequently is, ‘I’d like to see them myself.’ I don’t particularly want to be the person who disseminates those videos for complicated reasons, but I’m sure that will happen,” Syverud said. “I want to say that I am shaken and deeply disturbed by what is on them, as I would hope anyone in the community would be.”

In his email, Syverud said SU is committed to “fostering a community where all our students feel welcome and are treated with dignity and respect. This behavior is unacceptable and contradicts our moral standards.”

Student Association President James Franco said Wednesday afternoon the fraternity’s conduct was antithetical to his personal values and the values of the university.

“I think we also, too, should have an audit of Greek life on campus to re-evaluate its impact on the campus community and its value,” Franco said.

During a public forum at Hendricks Chapel on Wednesday night, which lasted more than three hours, students demanded action from SU in response to the videos. More than 400 students packed into the chapel.

“The one thing I want to say … is that there are faculty members that have you guys’ backs in ways that you all have no clue,” said Biko Gray, an assistant professor of religion. “So, I just really want to tell you if you all want me to be (in) a strategizing session, let a n*gga know.”

Charity Luster, vice president of SU’s chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, said she hopes the suspension of Theta Tau does not just spark a conversation about videos, but sparks a conversation about how people of color and underrepresented people are treated at SU.

In response to Theta Tau’s suspension, Hendricks Chapel Dean Brian Konkol held an event at 2:30 p.m. in Hendricks for “thoughtful, constructive dialogue about our campus community,” acknowledging the “troubling and disturbing conduct that has come to light,” he added in an email.

DPS has assembled detectives from its investigative team and is in the process of interviewing students who are believed to be involved in the videos, Department of Public Safety Chief Bobby Maldonado said during the afternoon event at Hendricks.

Maldonado added that DPS is working with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs to determine possible Code of Student Conduct violations.

“We also work in partnership with the Syracuse Police Department, and we’ve been in contact with them as well,” Maldonado said. “At this point in time, (SPD) has deferred to us while we review the code of conduct violations.”

Maldonado said members of the campus community “should all be concerned” about the fraternity’s “offensive comments.”

Theta Tau is the fourth fraternity suspended from SU during the 2017-18 academic year. SU announced the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity’s suspension last week after a months-long investigation into hazing. SU suspended Alpha Epsilon Pi in February for conduct that threatened the safety of a student participating in the new member process. The SU chapter of Delta Tau Delta was suspended in fall 2017 for conduct violations that included hazing.

RIGHTS FOR ROBOTS: EU reveals plans for new class of AI electro-person!

BRUSSELS bureaucrats are considering transferring human rights to robots if artificial intelligence (AI) becomes so powerful that droids end up thinking for themselves.

Ahead of today’s historic “in/out” vote for Britain, it has emerged the EU wants to introduce laws specific to robots that could give them civil rights regulations of they own, and see limits on how many jobs they could replace from humans.

In scenes that could have come from the sic-fi novels of Isaac Asimov nearly 70 years ago, a recommendation of the European Parliament to the EU Commission has suggested in the future sentient AI robots could need their own rights and responsibilities, and strict laws banning them from taking over too many jobs across the Continent may become necessary.

In the 1950s Asimov predicted robots would eventually have to adhere to laws, because the potential of what could develop from a combination of sophisticated mechanism, androids with human features, and artificial intelligence (AI) was too dangerous.

But, it appears Brussels bureaucrats fear this fiction will become a reality and the report has even considered including a “new robot category next to natural and lawful people: the electronic person”.

The report suggests AI could “surpass human intelligence within a few decades”.

Some members of European Parliament fear that without the controls humans may no longer be in charge of their own fate.

If Asimov’s predictions are being followed by the EU leaders, then a blueprint already exists.

The author already outlined the “three laws of robotics” in his novel, that inspired Hollywood Blockbuster I Robot in 2004.

These were that a robot must not harm any human, he has to obey them, and cannot harm humanity.

EU politicians point towards the fact that robots could become or be made self-aware by means of artificial intelligence.

Its report says robots “would be equipped with certain rights and responsibilities and be held responsible for any damages caused”.

In future, these machines could be classed and registered as ‘intelligent robots’ and be supervised by the European agency for robotics and artificial intelligence, the report continues.

Even a mandatory insurance has been suggested by EU MPs, which would say that the manufacturer of the autonomous robot needs to arrange insurance, against any ill effects of their creations.

The insurance system could possibly be supplemented by a “higher level fund”.

The ideas of the MEPs are not restricted to robots in factory buildings of big manufacturers.

There are also varied questions, ethical and otherwise, about further electronic species, for example carer robots, medicinal robots, autonomous cars and drones, says the report.

There is also talk of limiting how many human jobs can be replaced by AI and robots amid fears it will create mass unemployment across the EU.

But discussions over restricting jobs which robots can do has angered manufacturers and not met with universal appeal.

Germany’s engineering industry has already warned of EU overzealousness, as it used a robot exhibition in Munich as a platform to clarify the views of the industry.

But the growing number of robots is something that worries EU bureaucrats.

They point to the fact that the sales of robots have increased yearly by 17 per cent between 2010 and 2014.

The applications for robot technology patents has even tripled within a decade.

Germany has, after Korea and Japan, the highest density of robots.

Last year nearly a quarter million robots were sold worldwide, a record according to the International Federation of Robotics.

There is apparently no end in sight for the growth, and worldwide, it could mean as many as 2.3 million in operation by 2018 – twice as many as there were in 2009.

The fear in Brussels is that huge numbers of manufacturing jobs currently done by humans could soon be carried out by robots, says a report by the EU Commission.

The trade group VDMA, that is connected to leading German machine engineering and robot companies like Kuka, say most of these fear still belong in the realm of sci-fi.

Instead the group emphasises the advantages of digitalisation.

These bring “immense chances for Europe’s economy”, but only if the laws won’t hinder the development prematurely, it said in a statement.

They fear space for innovation would be limited for no real reason.

Thilo Brodtmann, VDMA CEO, said: “We can’t predict yet how the people will produce and consume things in five to 10n years.

“Being this overzealous, the politicians are limiting room for innovation and endanger the development of the 4.0 industry in Europe.

“It might be the right thing to do to have these discussions within a lawful context, but it was ‘way too early to discuss details like robot registries or social security contributions’.”

According VDMA the “work colleague robot” does not destroy jobs overall.

Patrick Schwarzkopf of the Automatica in Munich said: “We can see the number of jobs rising.

“In the German car industry the number of robots has risen by 17 per cent since 2010 and the number of jobs by 13 per cent.

“Robots take over difficult and dangerous jobs. This increases productivity and makes jobs safer.”

Ulrich Walwei of the IAB of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit, however, disagrees.

According to him there are three to four million jobs in Germany that robots could soon do up to 70 per cent of, so the jobs are therefore under threat.

He said: “All in all the digitalisation could stay industry neutral since the responsibilities would also arise in the service industry.

“The increase in productivity through robots could also lead to lower prices.”

Allison Mack, Smallville Actress, charged as sex trafficking ‘MASTER!”

Allison Mack, a US actress known for the TV show Smallville, has appeared in court on charges of aiding a sex trafficking operation disguised as a mentoring group.

Keith Raniere, the leader of the so-called self-help group, was arrested by the FBI in Mexico in March.

Ms Mack is accused of helping him to recruit women who were then exploited “both sexually and for their labour”, the New York prosecuting attorney said.

She pleaded not guilty to all charges.

At a brief hearing on Friday evening in a Brooklyn federal court, the judge ordered Ms Mack, 35, to be held in custody. She will appear in court again on Monday.

‘Sex-slave’ group leader arrested by FBI

The society was supposed to empower and strengthen the women who joined it, according to prosecutors.

But they allege Mr Raniere oversaw a “slave and master” system in his group called Nxivm, where female members were expected to have sex with him and were branded with his initials.

“Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” Richard Donoghue, US attorney for the Eastern District in New York, said in a statement.

Prosecutors allege that Nxivm has the features of a pyramid scheme, in which members pay “thousands of dollars” for courses to rise within its ranks.

“Mack directly or implicitly required her slaves… to engage in sexual activity with Raniere,” the statement from the attorney’s office claims.

“In exchange for this, Mack received financial and other benefits.”

If found guilty, both Ms Mack and Mr Raniere, who has been charged with sex trafficking and is being held without bail, face at least 15 years in prison.

Masters and slaves

Allison Mack was a mainstay of the popular Superman series Smallville, which ran from 2001 to 2011.

Within Nxivm, a smaller group called DOS – or Dominus Obsequious Sororium – was created. The quasi-Latin phrase roughly translates as Master Over the Slave Women.

The group encouraged women to recruit new slaves “who in turn owed service not only to their own masters, but also to masters above them” in the pyramid scheme, prosecutors say.

Mr Raniere, 57, is alleged to have stood at the top of that pyramid, as the only man, with Ms Mack at the top level of women, immediately below him.

Investigators say Mr Raniere had a rotating group of 15 to 20 sexual partners, who were not allowed to discuss their relationship with him or have one with anyone else.

Compliance was assured in part through the use of “collateral” which had to be provided when joining – which prosecutors said included damaging information about friends or family, nude photographs, or rights to assets.

They allege that “slaves” in the group had to eat extremely low-calorie diets because of Mr Raniere’s preference for thin women.

“Under the guise of female empowerment, [Ms Mack] starved women until they fit her co-defendant’s sexual ideal, and she targeted vulnerable women,” prosecutor Moira Kim Penza said at Friday’s hearing.

In late March, Smallville co-star, Kristin Kreuk was forced to deny rumours she had acted as a recruiter for Mr Raniere.
