Jay-Z’s alleged secret son Rymir Satterthwaite accuses rapper of abusing legal system for EIGHT years to avoid paternity test – and says he won’t stop fighting for justice!

ad-composite-jay-z-secret-son2THE  man who claims to be the secret son of Jay-Z has accused the rapper of using his fame and wealth to avoid taking a paternity test for more than EIGHT years.

Rymir Satterthwaite’s  guardian has even launched a legal battle against their own lawyers – accusing them of colluding with the rapper’s legal team to help him get out of taking the test.

The case is due to go to trial in Philadelphia this December – and Rymir, 24, said he will not give up his fight until the world knows the “truth” and he gets a fair process in court.

Jay-Z – who is married to Beyonce and whose real name is Shawn Carter – has denied being the father but has always refused to take a paternity test.

The court initially threw out Rymir’s request for a paternity test after mistakenly believing his real dad had been found – when in fact his birth certificate, seen by Sun Online, shows no father listed.

Then, court papers allege, lawyers for Rymir’s side secretly colluded with lawyers for Jay-Z, 48, causing procedure problems that caused the case to be thrown out of Philadelphia courts.

In an exclusive interview with Sun Online, Rymir, an aspiring musician, claims he has been denied the right to have a fair hearing in court because of legal mistakes and malpractice – and now wants justice.

He said: “I don’t want money or anything like that from Jay-Z.

“I just want him to finally tell the truth to the world.

“He’s supposed to be a positive role model for our community – he stands there screaming ‘Black Lives Matter’ – well tell the truth and take responsibility.

“And if you say I’m not your son and nothing ever happened with my mum then just take the test.

ad-composite-jay-z-secret-son1Rymir, right, is also a musician and has recorded an album and several singles

“If you are telling the truth then why is your first answer whenever you’re asked to take a paternity test ‘no’?

“Also I want a fair due process in court regardless of who my father is or how rich he is.”

Rymir was first told by mum Wanda that she believed Jay-Z was his father when he was around eight.

Wanda, 43, has claimed that she hooked up with the rapper – then known as “Rock” – in 1992 at his aunt’s apartment in the projects of Brooklyn, New York, after he first picked her up from Philadelphia.

The pair allegedly used protection but it failed – and aside from a visit from him two weeks later – the pair never saw each other again and Wanda had no idea how to contact him.

Although Wanda’s live-in boyfriend Robert Graves was originally listed on the birth certificate – he was legally removed in 2011 after a DNA test proved he was not the father.

Wanda’s godmother Lillie, who was given custody of Rymir in 2010 when Wanda became too sick to look after him, says she believes Jay-Z is the father and is determined to fight until the family get treated fairly in court.

She said: “Wanda was only 16 when she allegedly met Shawn but she may have told him she was older.

“She fell pregnant but had no idea how to contact him.

screen-shot-2018-05-23-at-9-16-49-pmRymir’s birth certificate shows no father listed

“Her on-off boyfriend at the time, Robert, knew the baby wasn’t his but put his name on the birth certificate while Wanda was unconscious recovering from the birth.

“Initially he felt sorry for Wanda but later he used it so he could collect extra food stamps and benefits. “Both were minors at the time so he shouldn’t have signed anything.

“Over the years she tried to get in touch with Shawn but Robert always stopped her.

“In 2009 she came to me and asked me to help get in touch with Shawn and sort the situation out.

“In the beginning when we first reached to Shawn’s team, we reached out in love, and we wrote a letter.

“I got a call from his in-house lawyer and they were very helpful and we thought we would resolve this privately – they even talked about Rymir’s music talent and whether it was a good time to put him on his record label but he had to finish high school so I said no.

“Suddenly different lawyers got involved and their attitude completely changed – I think they realised there was more at stake for Shawn given that Wanda was allegedly underage.

“We put in legal requests for both Shawn and Robert to take paternity tests in Philadelphia. Robert did his and was found not to be the father but Shawn’s request was not processed due to procedural problems.

“Since then there has just been a whole bunch of mistakes, oversights and collusion between our lawyers and Shawn’s lawyers – which is why we have to fight back. And we’re not giving up.

“This has become about more than just Jay-Z and the paternity test – it’s about people being fairly treated by the legal system no matter how much money they have.”

The most recent lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia and seen by Sun Online, claims that one attorney they hired was actually “best friends and neighbours” with Jay-Z’s lawyer.

It claims that Jay-Z’s attorney made Wanda sign legal papers while she was in hospital recovering from a medicated coma which replaced Lillie’s name on the petition – without consent – and for “nefarious reasons”.

The name change, done while Wanda was “in distress” and thinking she was doing the right thing for her son, caused the case to be thrown out.

The court papers state that the case has been “devastating” for their family and that “they never saw so much corruption or experienced so much hurt”.

It adds: “Rymir the then-child suffered the pain of rejection, fraud and collusion.”

Both attorneys deny the allegations in their response to the lawsuit.

Rymir, who lives with Lillie in Blackwood, New Jersey, said the eight-year legal battle has made him lose faith in the system.

“Honestly I believe anybody else in this world would have had to take the test,” he said.

What does Jay-Z say about the claims?

Jay-Z has never publicly spoken about the case. Sun Online has reached out several times to his representatives and never received a response.

His lawyer stated that the rapper is “not an interested party with respect to the custody of Rymir Satterthwaite,” in legal papers filed in 2011.

He added “there has been no determination or viable claim of a familial relationship with Mr Carter.”

Back in 2011 the rap star denied reports he had fathered a different child with a model called Shenelle Scott.

His reps said at the time there was “not truth” to the “ridiculous rumours”.

“Whenever you have people with lots of money against ordinary people it’s going to be a fight – but I believe the system was more on his side than on my mine and I didn’t get a fair due process in court. I never got my chance to talk.

“It got pushed to the side and basically now I walk around and everybody’s looking at me and saying ‘he’s chasing Jay-Z, he wants money, he’s trying to get his 15 minutes of fame’.

“This never about money for me. My whole thing was just to see who my father was and honestly I get my own money. I work two jobs, I take care of my own business.

“I’ve got a positive family behind me that helps me with everything I do. It wasn’t like I needed anything.

“I just needed closure and I wanted respect from the courts. Just like everybody else goes in there and gets respect and gets a fair, due process. Why didn’t I get that? Why did I just get brushed to the side?

“Is it because of somebody’s name? Is it because somebody was getting paid off. I will never know.”

He added: “We’re all equal in this world and no one should think they’re better than somebody just because they can pay 40 or 50 lawyers to go fight for you – that doesn’t make you better than nobody – that makes you a coward.”

Rymir, who works at a restaurant and a pet store as well as writing and recording music, said he gets angry when people accuse him of making up his claims in order to boost his career.

“No one gets fame off of chasing Jay-Z,” he said. “This is one of the most powerful men in music right now.

“What am I getting from chasing him screaming that he’s my father? I’m getting nothing out of it.

“I’ve been hearing this so much and it makes me sick because I bust my a** working day to day and I take care of myself and I take care of my family.”

Ultimately Rymir says he holds “no grudge” against Jay-Z and still holds out hope that they can one day meet and resolve the situation amicably.

He hopes to concentrate on his music career – and is hoping to even tour the UK in the future.

“I’m still positive,” he said. “I still wake up every day, I still pray, count all my blessings. I love my family. I love to do things. I love to go camping. It didn’t change me.

“It lets me see that the world is not what you always planned it out to be.”

He added: “If Jay-Z was sat here right now I’d hope we could just talk and catch up.

“I’m a calm person – I’m not going to scream and all that I would just tell him how I feel and hopefully he would tell me how he feels and we could work things out.

“There’s no grudge – I don’t want to have grudges with people in the world that’s why so many people are dying.

“I wish the best for him and his family I don’t wish any badness on anybody. I just want justice and a fair process in court.”

Kim Kardashian West meets Trump at White House to discuss prison reform!

WASHINGTON (AP) — Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West paid a visit to the White House Wednesday to make a star-powered case to President Donald Trump and his staff on behalf of a woman serving a life sentence for drug offenses.

Kardashian West has been urging the president to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, 63, who has spent more than two decades behind bars and is not eligible for parole.

It had been unclear whether the socialite would have the chance to sit down with Trump while she was in Washington, but Trump confirmed the meeting — as he often does — via Twitter, writing, “Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”

He included a picture of the two in the Oval Office — Trump seated behind his desk and Kardashian West, dressed in all-black, standing to his right.

“Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”

Kardashian West arrived at the White House just after 4:30 p.m. for what was expected to be a meeting with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, who is overseeing the administration’s push to overhaul the nation’s prison system. She appeared to preview the visit on her Twitter feed, writing: “Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you.”

A rare A-list celebrity to visit the White House since Trump took office, Kardashian West was seen posing for photos in front of the West Wing before entering.

Attorney Brittany K. Barnett, a member of Johnson’s legal team, said Kardashian West had hoped to discuss the issue with Trump directly. She said after the meeting that she had consulted with those who had attended and said it “seemed to go well.”

“It is now in President Trump’s hands to decide whether to save Alice Johnson’s life,” Barnett said.

In an interview with Mic released earlier this month, Kardashian West said she’d been moved by Johnson’s story after seeing a video by the news outlet on Twitter.

“I think that she really deserves a second chance at life,” Kardashian told Mic. “I’ll do whatever it takes to get her out.”

Kardashian West said in the interview she’d been in touch with Kushner over the case and that, if she had the chance to bring it up with Trump, she’d tell him, “I really do believe that she’s going to really thrive outside of prison, and I would just urge him to please pardon her.”

Trump last week granted a rare posthumous pardon to boxing’s first black heavyweight champion, clearing Jack Johnson’s name more than 100 years after what many saw as a racially charged conviction.

The boxer’s pardon had been championed by actor Sylvester Stallone, who Trump said had brought the story to his attention in a phone call.

Trump has issued just a handful of pardons, including one for former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a staunch campaign supporter; one for Scooter Libby, who served as chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney; and one for a U.S. Navy sailor convicted of taking photos of classified portions of a submarine.

Kardashian West supported Trump’s rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 election. But her husband, rapper Kanye West, recently offered his support for Trump in a series of tweets, saying they both share “dragon energy.” Kardashian West defended her husband when he caught flak on social media for his tweets.

West also paid a visit to the then-president-elect in New York before his inauguration. Trump said they talked about “life” as they posed for photos in the lobby of Trump Tower. West has said he didn’t vote in the presidential election, but if he had, he would have cast a ballot for Trump.

Trump and members of his administration have spoken passionately in favor of prison and sentencing reform, but that has sometimes clashed with Trump’s law-and-order approach, especially at the Justice Department.

Indeed, Trump has called for getting tougher on drug dealers, including suggesting that some should receive the death penalty.

Johnson was convicted in 1996 on eight criminal counts related to a Memphis-based cocaine trafficking operation involving more than a dozen people. The 1994 indictment describes dozens of deliveries and drug transactions, many involving Johnson.

She was sentenced to life in prison in 1997, and appellate judges and the U.S. Supreme Court have rejected her appeals. Court records show she has a motion pending for a reduction in her sentence, but federal prosecutors are opposed, saying in a court filing that the sentence is in accord with federal guidelines, based on the large quantity of drugs involved. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Memphis did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday afternoon.

A criminal justice advocacy site, CAN-DO, and one of Johnson’s attorneys say a request for clemency was rejected by former President Barack Obama. The reasons are unclear.

A 1997 Associated Press story on Johnson’s sentencing said she headed up a multimillion-dollar drug ring. But Memphis attorney Michael Scholl, who filed the latest court documents in her request for a sentence reduction, said she was not a leader in the cocaine operation.

“What is the purpose of putting a lady with no prior criminal record, on a nonviolent drug offense, in jail for her entire life?” he said in a telephone interview. “She’s a model inmate.”

Scholl added that Johnson has admitted her wrongdoing, which is borne out in letters she has written to U.S. District Judge Samuel H. Mays, who now oversees her case.

“Judge Mays I’m writing to you to express my deep remorse for the crime that I committed over 20 years ago. I made some bad choices which have not only affected my life, but have impacted my entire family,” she said in a February 2017 letter in the court record.

In a hand-scrawled letter last June she wrote: “I’m a broken woman. More time in prison cannot accomplish more justice.”

Anyone fancy a nice glass of cockroach milk?

Yummy, Mummy! Cockroach milk is said to taste like cow’s milk, but thousands of the…

Cockroaches aren’t generally associated with good places to dine, but that could change soon because the insects are the latest fad in the superfoods craze.

Cockroaches produce the crystals which are full of essential amino acids.Photograph: Getty Images/National Geographic Creative

So-called cockroach milk – or post-natal fluid – is secreted from the critter in the form of crystals to nourish its 50 or so hatchlings – and humans could enjoy this nourishment too, according to researchers from the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine in India, who claim that the “milk” derived from the crystals boasts many nutritional benefits.

“The crystals are like a complete food – they have proteins, fats and sugars. If you look into the protein sequences, they have all the essential amino acids,” Sanchari Banerjee, one of the main researchers, told the Times of India.

This non-dairy alternative is said to taste rather like cow’s milk, but, given that a cockroach is significantly smaller than your average cow, it would take an army of the insects to make up one glass of milk. Also, according to the science news website Inverse, the cockroaches die in the process of extracting the fluid, thus making the whole enterprise “neither feasible or efficient”.

The mass-market viability of insect products hasn’t stopped companies such as Gourmet Grubb from making imitation ice-cream with “entomilk” – a non-dairy milk made from sustainably farmed insects. The company says that entomilk is rich in protein content, as well as iron, zinc and calcium.

Alongside insect-based dairy alternatives, eating insects whole is becoming a more common sight in western diets. So, if wolfing down multiple-legged invertebrates has no effect on your gag reflex and you would like to do your bit for the environment, there are sites, such as Derby-based Crunchy Critters, where you can fill your virtual basket with packets of freeze-dried and dehydrated insects, from barbecue mealworm to salt-and-vinegar crickets and garlic chapulines.

A man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to killing his mother two days after he completed a 30-year prison sentence for killing a neighbor.

Steven Pratt pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing Gwendolyn Pratt, 64, at their Atlantic City home in October 2014.

An autopsy found that she died from massive blunt-force head injuries.

According to an October 2014 story from Philly.com, Gwendolyn Pratt had recently hosted a welcome-home party for her son.

Gwendolyn Pratt’s brother told the news outlet his sister had been a Resorts Casino Hotel worker going back to 1989.

Her sibling also revealed that upon Steven Pratt’s release from prison, Gwendolyn Pratt took him to an IHOP restaurant.

In October 2014, Pratt told a judge through tears after killing his mother that he was guilty and didn’t want a trial.

In a video filmed at the time by the Press of Atlantic City, the judge told Pratt: ‘Now sir, you have a lawyer? Or you may use a public defender.’

Pratt told the judge: ‘I have nobody.’

The judge also asked Pratt if he knew about the bail amount.

Pratt at the time replied: ‘It doesn’t even matter, sir.’

Sobbing, Pratt said at one point during the arraignment: ‘I’m sorry. I have failed.’

Pratt was 15 when he shot and killed his next-door neighbor in 1984. He was tried as an adult and was convicted of murder in 1986

Steven Pratt, 47, must serve 85 percent of a 25-year prison sentence before he’ll be eligible for parole.

Pratt was 15 when he shot and killed his next-door neighbor Michael Anderson in an apartment building in 1984. He was tried as an adult and was convicted of murder in 1986.

According to court records, Pratt and Anderson argued after Pratt and some of his friends refused to leave an apartment hallway where they were noisily hanging out.

Pratt went back to Anderson’s apartment with a lead pipe, but Anderson took the pipe away from Pratt and bloodied his face, the records show.

Pratt then returned with a borrowed handgun and shot Anderson in the face and shoulder, the court records show. Anderson, who Pratt said acted like a father to him, died days after the shooting.

Steven and Gwendolyn Pratt’s Atlantic City, New Jersey, home is seen on the right in this file photograph.

White Student Charged In Brutal Beating That Left Black Minneapolis Teacher On Life Support Is Released Without Bail!

When Mohammed Dukuly took on a role at Harrison Education Center – which serves high school students with emotional and behavioral issues – he knew it would be challenging.

But he didn’t know it would leave him fighting for his life.

To add insult to injury, the student who beat him so severely he ended up on life support, was released without bail.

The Student Has Been Charged With First Degree Assault

Hennepin County

18-year-old Corey David Burfield appeared in court in Hennepin County Thursday.

He has been charged with one count of first-degree assault and one count of third-degree assault.

The judge allowed his release, but he will be required to get a home monitoring device within three days. And he will have to stay at home unless he is working, at school or seeking medical treatments.

He cannot be within a three-block radius of the teaching assistant, who suffered severe injuries as a result of the assault.

The judge did say Burfield will not be allowed at school when the teaching assistant – Mohammed Dukuly – is there because of the no-contact provision.

The Family Are Outraged By The Decision

“Quite frankly we are disappointed,” said Imam Mohammed Dukuly, the victim’s uncle.

“He’s going to do it again. The fact that he did this, and he can be released on the second day, I’m quite sure a lot of people are going to fall victim to this young man.”

The incident took place on Tuesday after Burfield approached Dukuly. He allegedly shoved him against a wall and then to the ground.

The Student Claims He Was Just Defending Himself

Burfield then punched Dukuly a number of times in the neck and head.

A surveillance video shows the student initially trying to grab at Dukuly’s belt where he had his school radio and keys.

Burfield told authorities that Dukuly “took a swing” at him and he was only attempting to defend himself.

The student’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 22.

He was cleared of a rape charge. He had to show the jury his penis first.

A Connecticut man accused of rape was acquitted this week after employing an unusual defense tactic: dropping his pants in court and showing his penis to the jury.

Defense attorney Todd Bussert said it was “the only real, viable option” in a case where a woman claimed she was raped in 2012 by a person she described as a black man whose penis was lighter than the rest of his body.

In 2014, the woman identified her rapist as Desmond James after seeing his picture in a news report. There was one major issue, according to Bussert: His client’s penis did not match the description the accuser provided.

During the trial, which started Monday in New Haven, Bussert said the defense had planned to use several photographs they had taken of James’s private parts to prove he wasn’t the suspect in question.

“Unfortunately, in one of [the photos], the flash had washed everything out,” Bussert told The Washington Post in a phone interview Saturday. “And given that the color was the issue, that became problematic.”

After disclosing this to the state, Bussert and his team discussed whether they should move forward by presenting all of the photos and explaining the color inconsistencies to the jury — or simply by showing the jury the evidence in the flesh, as it were.

They ultimately made a request to offer “non-testimonial evidence,” which was granted by Judge Elpedio Vitale, who stated it was James’s Sixth Amendment right to defend himself, Bussert said.

[Teen girl files claim against police who mistook her for a black male suspect and punched her]

The difficult part then was convincing their client to expose himself in court, he added.

“He was, I think, very uncomfortable with the whole idea,” Bussert said. “We explained to him why we thought it advanced the defense’s case. It was probably the strongest piece of evidence that we could offer. The whole claim was so specific and so unusual — there wasn’t a lot of ambiguity about it — we thought, well, if we can refute that, we can obviously persuade the jury.”

And so, on Wednesday, after the trial had resumed from a lunch break, Vitale gave a brief warning to the six-person jury, along with two alternates, that they were about to see “sensitive” evidence, Bussert said.

James “stepped up before the jury box and proceeded to unbutton his pants,” Bussert said. “The whole thing took three to five seconds. The court didn’t want to make it a huge thing. … It’s humiliating, ultimately.”

Somehow, court employees had caught wind of what was going to happen after lunch and packed the courtroom to watch, according to the New Haven Register, which first reported the story. The jurors reacted in various ways.

“One of the women looked away. One of the male alternate jurors looked as if he was trying not to have an outburst,” co-defense attorney Erica Barber told the newspaper. “I’m sure they were shocked but they did a good job of not showing it.”

[Brock Turner freed after serving half of his six-month jail sentence for sexual assault]

Prosecutor Stacey Miranda argued in court that James might have changed his pubic hair since 2012 or that the lighting could have caused the accuser to remember her assaulter’s penis differently during the time of the assault.

“You saw the defendant’s penis. What was that?!” Miranda told the jury, according to the New York Post. “It is six years later. Do we have any idea of what she may have been seeing that night? What his manscaping was like at the time? What light was shining on it?”

Despite the prosecution’s protests, the jury ruled James was not guilty on all three counts of first-degree sexual assault.

Bussert, who has practiced law for about 20 years, disputes that he advised his client to expose himself to sensationalize the case or the evidence.

“I can fairly say I never envisioned this scenario in my career where something like this would come up,” he said. “Here it just seemed like the only real viable option … If I felt I had [another] really clear unimpeachable option that would have established the same point, I would have pursued it.”

The jury’s decision does not mean Bussert’s client left the courtroom freely, though. James was convicted last year for home invasion and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl and is serving a 65-year sentence.

Pregnant Bride and Dad Shot on Wedding By Ex-Wife!

A father has been seriously injured after jumping in the line of fire trying to protect his pregnant daughter from being shot….

According to NewsWeek:

Police said 74-year-old Frederick Waring “took the brunt of the injuries” attempting to save the life of his 23-year-old daughter, who is five months pregnant with twins, reported KYW-TV. Waring is reported to have been shot at least 10 times and is in the hospital in critical condition.

The shootout on the day of the woman’s wedding occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 in southwest Philadelphia. Detectives believe the shooting was the result of a domestic issue after the ex-wife of the groom turned up with two other men.

In a news conference, Philadelphia Police Lieutenant John Walker said there was an altercation which stemmed from “jealousy” after the man’s ex-wife saw a Facebook post saying how he was about to get married again.. Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, the ex-wife and others went to the 23-year-old woman’s home on the 5800 block of Hadfield Street, police said. After the ex-wife approached the woman, “there was some type of altercation,” Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives said at a news conference Monday afternoon.

“As that escalated, some of the males in the crowd, at least two, pulled out handguns,” Walker said. “The father of the 23-year-old woman jumped in front of his daughter. Obviously, he took the brunt of the injuries.” The father was shot as many as 10 times in his upper body, Walker said. His daughter was shot in the left hip and leg.

Police did not release either victim’s name or that of the ex-wife. Neighbors on the block where the father and daughter live confirmed that the father’s name is Fred Waring. He was in critical condition Monday afternoon at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, while his daughter was in stable condition, Walker said. He said the motive for the shooting was “jealousy.”

Cable customer forced oral sex on repairman: cops

Mildred NewsomeCumberland County Jail

A North Carolina woman is facing charges after she forced a cable repairman to let her perform a sex act on him, police said.

Mildred Newsome, 47, of Fayetteville, was arrested Saturday after an investigation into the man’s accusations following an April 20 repair call at her apartment, Fayetteville Police Sgt. Shawn Strepay told The Post.

“The cable guy was there to work on her on box and while waiting for it to reset as he was sitting on a couch, she came over, grabbed his hand and forcefully placed his hand on her own breast,” Strepay said.

The unidentified technician in his 30s tried to resist Newsome’s “unwanted sexual advance,” but she persisted and performed oral sex on him, Strepay said.

Newsome then told the man that she would “turn the story on him” if he reported the alleged assault to police, saying she would tell authorities that he was the aggressor, Strepay said.

“When he was able to finally get out of the home, he did report it the same day, actually shortly after the event took place,” he said.

Investigators have yet to determine a motive in the alleged attack. Newsome, who faces two felony counts of second-degree forcible sex offense and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery, has been released after posting bail, Strepay said.

Attempts to reach Newsome early Thursday were unsuccessful. She works at a nursing and rehabilitation center, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Sex offender caught in bed with teens by roommate: cops

Mitchell ThurstonOrange County Jail

A registered sex offender in Florida was caught in bed with two teenage girls after his roommate reported him to authorities, police said.

Mitchell Thurston, 34, was arrested after his roommate called his probation officer and reported that Thurston had a young girl staying with him, WESH reports.

The probation officer later responded to Thurston’s home in Orlando, where he was found in bed with two juvenile girls, one of whom told investigators she had been homeless and lived in a nearby wooded area before meeting Thurston at a bus stop. Thurston then invited her to his home, where she had been staying for about a month, she told police.

The second girl — who was previously reported missing by her mother — also met Thurston at a bus stop before going to his home, police said. He’s now facing battery and child molestation charges.

One of the girls said Thurston touched her inappropriately on two occasions while they were together in bed. Both are about 16 years old, WFTV reports.

In 2008, Thurston was convicted sexual battery on a child under 12 and was sentenced by a judge to nearly two years in prison. He was also placed under supervision as a registered sex offender for 10 years, according to the station.

Thurston’s roommate, who asked not to be identified, said he simply had to act after spotting the young girls with Thurston.

“It’s just something that I had to do,” the man told WFTV. “I just don’t feel right. Something should be done.”
